Once upon a time, The Birbal was not present in the court.
Taking advantage of this, some ministers started filling Emperor Akbar's ears
against Birbal. One of them said, "Your Majesty! You only assign
responsibilities to Birbal and seek his advice in every matter. This means that
you consider us incompetent. But that's not true, we are as capable as Birbal."
The Emperor held Birbal in high regard. He did not want to
hear anything against him, but he came up with a solution to not disappoint the
ministers. He said to them, "I want an answer to a question from all of
you. But remember, if you cannot answer it, you will all be sentenced to death
by hanging."
The courtiers hesitantly agreed to the Emperor's condition
and said, "Alright, Your Majesty! We accept your condition, but please ask
the question first."
The Emperor asked, "What is the biggest thing in the
world?"
This is the answer.
